Date Night! Relax. Replenish. Ribbit.

Date night: A prearranged occasion on which an established couple, especially one with children, go for a night out together.
Whether it’s weekly, monthly, or once in a blue moon, everyone loves a good date night. But the only thing more challenging than stealing a few hours away from the kids is choosing a place to go. Luckily, the Poconos is home to The Frogtown family of restaurants – The Frogtown Inn & 6 Acres Restaurant and The Frogtown Chophouse. Finally, the date night deliberation is over!
Frogtown co-owners Eric Noone and Lyman Winner know a thing or two about creating the perfect night out. Not only does the duo specialize in great food and hospitality, but they’re also husbands and dads! From start to finish, The Frogtown team provides diners with the complete restaurant experience. Get ready to sit back and relax while you enjoy a night out with your main squeeze.
Also known as “The Inn,” The Frogtown Inn & 6 Acres Restaurant in Canadensis is the total package. The Inn offers a quaint, romantic atmosphere and boasts a menu right out of any seafood lover’s dreams. Scallops or sea bass, salmon or steak – take your pick, the possibilities are endless! But if you’re having trouble selecting an entrée, remember these two words: crab cake. You won’t regret it. And, of course, no date night is complete without a cocktail (or two) from The Inn’s unique, Prohibition-inspired drink menu. Enjoy a classic martini or get adventurous with a “Singapore Sling” or the “Blood and Sand.”
Less than ten miles away, nestled in the town of Swiftwater, is The Frogtown Chophouse. With a delicious array of steaks and chops, The Chophouse certainly lives up to its name. Not a meat eater? Don’t worry, there’s plenty of plant life on the menu, too. The Chophouse also prides itself on its ever-changing craft beer selection. Enjoy a cold brew at the bar before dinner or while you relax on the back deck. You’ve earned it! Finish the evening with something sweet, like a slice of tiramisu or a decadent dessert martini.
Can’t find a babysitter? Both locations offer kids’ menus with yummy choices for even the pickiest eaters. Remember to “like” both restaurants on Facebook to stay up-to-date on daily specials and exciting events, like the Haunted Vineyard Wine Dinner happening this October.
Have a happy date night!
