Three words. Beer. House. Cafe. I don’t know about you, but a house filled with beer sounds pretty appealing! But whether you’re a beer enthusiast or not, one thing is certain – you’ll love Beer House Cafe. Between the menu, drink list, and entertainment, you can’t go wrong with a trip to this hot, new spot on Crystal Street in East Stroudsburg.
At Beer House Cafe, you can relax by the fireplace on a chilly day or unwind to the sounds of local musicians. Enjoy your favorite IPA with a side of hummus, or treat yourself to a delicious, homemade dessert. Whatever your vice, Beer House Cafe should be at the top of your to-do list. For those of you with adventurous palates, you’re in for a real treat. The menu is filled with a variety of traditional Algerian foods. However, even those with the most cautious tastebuds can delight in the offerings at Beer House Cafe. Classic American favorites, like burgers and chicken pot pie, are part of the menu, too.
I’ll admit, I was a little nervous about trying Algerian food, but I’m sure glad I did! What I didn’t know is that Algerian food is a fusion between North African and French cuisines, and, most importantly, is always fresh and incredibly tasty. Lamb and chicken dishes, enhanced with spices like coriander and cumin, are popular among Algerians, along with breads with butter and homemade jams. (Carb lovers, rejoice!) I’m now totally hooked on the Grilled Chicken & Chimichurri Sandwich. Keep in mind, I had no idea what chimichurri sauce was before I tried this sandwich. (How embarrassing, because it’s ridiculously good!) And let’s not forget about the beer! With 300+ brews to choose from, this place is what dreams are made of. In addition to a fun selection of rotating drafts, you can help yourself to a bottle from one of several coolers along the wall. Here you’ll find an incredible selection of beers from near and far. This just may be your most difficult decision yet!
While dinner is great, don’t underestimate the brunch date, where no one will judge you for drinking before noon! Between the Huevos Rancheros and “Everything but the Bagel” (yum!), you’ll have a tough time deciding what to order. Here’s a tip from a seasoned professional – go halfsies with your date so you can try TWO things! There’s also live music to keep you entertained every Sunday from 11:30 a.m. until 3 p.m.
