I just want to salute all the moms and dads out there. I know it’s not anywhere near Mother’s Day or Father’s Day but it is winter and winter is looooooonnnng. For every snow storm that sends your schedule into a tailspin to the inevitable colds and sicknesses that will leave your kids home from school – we deserve some type of award…or medal… or a day off! This winter has been a challenge to say the least. Is it safe to say we’ve almost made it through? Mother Nature, if you’re listening, we could all use a break!
Putting together this issue we’ve had the chance to discover some awesome new people and places. Spring might be on it’s way but before we head outdoors be sure to experience some indoor hot spots that are kid approved. FreeFall Trampoline Park and the Pocono Family YMCA are perfect for burning off some energy. Don’t let the cold weather stop you though, now is also a great time to try some outdoor activities like snow tubing. Read about these activities and more inside this issue.
A special thanks to our cover artist, Olivia who crafted a masterpiece for this issue. We are always looking for more MeSee Mini Artists so break out the art supplies on those snowy days and let your kids create a masterpiece for us. You just might see it on the cover of a future issue! Take a picture and email it to email@example.com, upload it to our Facebook page or drop it in the mail. We love seeing your kids’ works of art!
We’re very excited for the upcoming Greater Pocono Kids Expo at Camelback Mountain & Resort! Mark your calendars; it will be a great opportunity for parents to discover all types of businesses dedicated to enriching, improving, and assisting the lives of kids and their families. Summer camps, party venues, dance studios, martial arts studios, healthcare, safety, day cares and more! A great time for both parents and kids!
As parents we need to stick together, so drop us a line, tell us what you think, share your ideas with us! Until next time, goodbye and good luck – see you in the Spring!
