Do you love summer? Do you look forward to this time of year? Do your kids also nag you and fight at the slightest sign of boredom? Do the words “I’m BORED” ring in your ears daily? Summertime can be such a conundrum. While we as parents look forward to the end of school, we also dread it at the same time. Rest? Relaxation? Will we really be getting that during the next few months? No. The answer is definitely no. BUT now is the time to make some memories and cut yourself some slack. I know work responsibilities don’t go away during the summer months, but let’s let the other stuff slide. Don’t worry about dishes. Eat frozen pizza or hot dogs every night. Hang outside until the sun goes down, blowing bubbles or playing tag. Those are the things your kids will remember.

This issue of MeSee is full of summer fun. We have ideas for quick day trips and visits to the zoo, plus lots of local events and crafts to try at home. Our area has all kinds of activities for families to do together this season, and we’re looking forward to getting out and trying them too. Keep your eye out for us; we’ll be hitting up local events and grabbing pictures for our next issue.

When your kids start singing the song of boredom, give them some art supplies and put them to work on our next cover. Each cover of MeSee is created by our readers. If the size is right and the colors fit, we’ll feature your kid’s artwork as well as his or her picture on the inside cover. We love making our mini artists famous!

We also want to feature your family! Send us an email or message on Facebook and tell us about your family. Our Family Feature in each issue is for local families to tell us what they like to do together. Check out our Family Feature in this issue to see what we’re talking about.

As always, we love to hear from you. Share your ideas, stories, and more. You can find us on Facebook or email us anytime at info@meseemag.com. We know that moms and dads have all the secrets and know all the tricks to entertaining kids, so tell us what we need to know!

We hope you continue to enjoy MeSee Magazine as much as we enjoy creating it. Now get out and make some memories!
