Family Promise, in partnership with the Sherman Theater, announces the first annual Superhero Adventure to benefit Family Promise of Monroe County, to be held September 2, 2017 during StroudFest.

This fun event invites adults, children, strollers, all ages, all genders, all speeds and abilities, and well-behaved leashed dogs “to be a hero and help save homeless families with children” by dressing up in a favorite superhero costume and walking among all the vendors at the Stroudfest festival. The Adventure will start and end at the Family Promise kiosk on 7th Street. Registered Superheroes will collect “Superheroes for Family Promise’ stickers at many volunteer StroudFest vendor booths and cash them in for prizes. Other prizes include best costume and best dressed dog. Entrants who sign up online can also ask friends and relatives to sponsor them online and the entrants who raises $40 or more in sponsors will receive a free t-shirt. The person who raises the most for homeless families wins the grand prize.

Visit the Family Promise website at www.familypromisepa.org/superhero for more details and to register in advance. Invite your friends and family to join the fun. Remember that live music, good food and fun are also part of the StroudFest adventure!
